Leveraging art therapy and mindfulness to reduce healthcare providers' stress.

Artists Working in Education, Inc. (AWE), is a non-profit organization that sponsors professional artists to nurture the imaginations of Milwaukee youth by bringing creative visual arts experiences directly to the community.
Backstory

Creating space to reset

Healthcare providers experience some of the highest levels of stress in any industry, often putting their own needs second while caring for others. AWE partnered with Lyssna Method to create an innovative, digital experience that gives back to these important community leaders. By offering a pathway to stress reduction in an environment that fits into daily life via art therapy, mindfulness, and wellness to refresh and renew mental health.
Focus on mental wellness and health for care providers.
Strategy

Kick-off workshops

Initially, the goal presented was to provide easy wayfinding to projects of interest for care providers. Through a cohesive discovery process, we uncovered an opportunity to solve a bigger need, addressing high-stress scenarios care provider's often experience. The result was a digitally immersive experience that created engagement triggers at key touchpoints in a care provider's day to measure and reduce stress by combining wellness, mindfulness, and creative activities.
